With growing demand for qualified VET trainers in secondary schools, the Sunbury Macedon Ranges VET Cluster (SMRVC) invites experienced tradespeople and industry professionals to consider a rewarding career in education.

Becoming a VET trainer allows you to share your industry knowledge, inspire young people, and help develop the next generation of skilled workers — all while enjoying flexible work and the benefits of working within school environments.

Why become a VET Trainer?

Across Victoria, there is increasing demand for skilled workers. One of the most effective ways to support this need is by helping students develop practical, hands-on skills while still at school.

Teaching VET gives you the opportunity to:

  • Inspire the next generation of skilled workers

  • Share your industry knowledge and experience

  • Stay connected to your trade or profession

  • Enjoy flexibility, job stability, and school holidays

  • Teach part-time or full-time in your area of expertise
