This course provides practical, hands-on training to prepare you for work in farming, livestock care, and land management. You will gain the skills and confidence needed to work safely, sustainably, and effectively in a range of agricultural settings.

You will learn things like:

  • Caring for and managing livestock, including feeding, health checks, and handling

  • Safely operating a range of farm machinery and equipment

  • Managing pastures and crops to improve productivity

  • Following workplace health and safety requirements

  • Applying sustainable farming practices and industry best standards

  • Working as part of a team in a rural or agricultural environment

Contribution to Senior Secondary Certificate: Contributes to VCE, VCE VM

                                                  and VPC in accordance with current VCAA

                                                  requirements. Speak with your VET Coordinator

Transport:                                     Students are responsible for travel to and from the

                                                  delivery location. Subject to transport funding,

                                                  SMRVC may provide transport on certain routes.
