Industry & Community Partnerships
Connecting Education with Industry & Community
The Sunbury Macedon Ranges VET Cluster (SMRVC) works collaboratively with industry, employers, training providers and community organisations to help connect student learning with the world of work.
These strong partnerships help ensure students develop practical skills, industry knowledge and workplace behaviours valued by employers, while providing opportunities to explore different industries and future career pathways.
Industry involvement helps keep VET connected to current workplaces, workforce needs and emerging opportunities.
By working together, we can help students:

develop skills valued by employers
-
gain exposure to real workplaces and industry environments
-
build confidence through practical learning
-
better understand workplace expectations
-

-
connect with employers and industry professionals

Supporting Future Skills

Through ongoing collaboration with employers and training providers, the SMRVC aims to ensure students have access to VET programs that reflect current industry practices, new technologies and emerging employment opportunities.
This helps students graduate with practical, transferable skills that prepare them for success in further education and the workforce.

Working Together for Student Success
At the SMRVC, we believe the strongest pathways are created when schools, industry, training providers and the community work together.
Our partnerships help students move confidently from secondary school into further study, apprenticeships, traineeships and meaningful employment, while supporting local industries to develop the skilled workforce of the future.
