This course provides practical, hands-on training in which students will gain basic knowledge and skills to perform a range of specified maintenance tasks on aircraft, which can lead to future Aeroskills apprenticeships/traineeships.

You will learn things like:

  • Performing basic aircraft maintenance and servicing tasks.

  • Using hand tools, equipment, and maintenance procedures safely.

  • Reading and interpreting aircraft manuals, drawings, and specifications.

  • Applying workplace health and safety and aviation safety procedures.

  • Recording maintenance activities and completing industry documentation accurately.

Contribution to Senior Secondary Certificate: Contributes to VCE, VCE VM and VPC in accordance with current VCAA requirements. Speak with                                                        your VET Coordinator for advice specific to your senior pathway.

Transport:                                      Students are responsible for travel to and from the delivery location. Subject to transport funding, SMRVC may provide                                                    transport on certain routes. Check with your VET Coordinator.

Perform basic repair of aircraft internal fittings during line maintenance
