Are you passionate about music and performance?

Students enrolling in Certificate III in Music must have successfully completed Year 1 in the previous year.

Units will be delivered and assessed in a sequence planned by the trainer.

 

Music Performance Specialisation:

This specialisation focuses on developing live performance skills as a band or solo artist, along with the professionalism needed for real industry work. Core units of competency in the program include developing and updating industry knowledge, dealing with copyright, and working effectively in the industry. The elective units allow students to focus on an area of interest, such as performing simple pieces and incorporating technology; creating simple compositions, including lyric writing; making demonstration recordings (demos); and improvisation, stagecraft, and ensemble skills.

 

Sound Production Specialisation:

This specialisation is designed for students who wish to develop technical skills in recording, mixing and live sound. Depending on the electives chosen, students learn how to set up and operate microphones, PA systems, and related audio equipment, and how to use digital audio software to capture, edit, and mix sound to a professional standard.

 

Units will be delivered and assessed in a sequence planned by the trainer.

                                                 the delivery location. Subject to transport

                                                 funding, SMRVC may provide transport on
